THE ROMANTIC CEO CHAPTER 4.

{ Under the rain of love}

Chapter 4.

Amy focused at Xan's eyes again. She stared at him like a child who had found danger but was unaware of what to do.

He quickly pressed his brows together covering up his deadly gaze. She had seen them, they had started to build up that cold icy structure.

And that was the most scariest eyes Amy had seen in her entire life.

He was upset...damn upset towards her. She could see it right there in his eyes. Her whole body had shrunk down.

She didn't want to her upset her boss on her first day at work. She wanted to be his most lovable staff.

She wanted to prove to him and to herself that she was capable of doing this job.

But she had merely go half an hour and she had started to cause havoc already.

She sucked in her breath, holding them for a while.

" I'm very sorry" she apologised, pressing her lip tight, her fingers started to fiddle under the table.

Xan opened his eyes sharply, the icy gaze was totally gone and It was replaced with nothing but hazel veins.

" HaHa...Someone is fuming out of his ears." The other wheel voice sounded. His voice was majestic....

Amy was forced not to look back again and stare at him.

Xan palmed his face, sighing loudly.

" Vixen. I didn't welcome you here." He said.

Vixen walked up to Xan's table and chuckled, picking up his empty cup of coffee.

" Do i need orders from you before i enter into our office?" He asked, smirking hard.

Xan shot a deadly gaze at him, that single gaze could drop a mere human dead.

" I'm not surprised that you came to my office just for trouble." Xan shot at him.

" No bro. I only came here just for a coffee, that's all." He said and slowly walked towards the dispenser.

The room became quiet as the sound of the dispensing machine rush out tea was heard.

Vixen brought out his cup and picked a little sip from it before turning to them.

" Why are you both silent?. Is my presence quite attracting?"

Xan threw his face to his computer screen before he began to rack his fingers on them.

He suddenly stopped, raised his head to look at amy.

" You are employed." He said .

" Huh?. Employed?. Is the interview over?" She asked, greatly stunned.

" Were you expecting anything more?" He asked, raising his brows.

" Does that mean i passed the interview?" She quickly squirmed.

" You failed my test woefully, amy. Just know that any slight mistake from you might end you up as a maid"

Amy swallowed, shaking her head in approval. She would prefer to go back as a delivery girl than to mob and sweep and sweat all day.

" Follow me quickly" Xan said, leaving his seat.

Amy quickly picked her bag and began to run behind him.

They took a turn and were now out in the long corridor. The icy boss and her kindle little assistant....

Xan was walking very quickly almost calculative while pocketing his arm, and amy did nothing but ran along just to hear him out.

" As a personal assistant, your job is to receive calls and messages coming into the office." Xan was saying.

" What kind of calls, sir?"

" Business calls, or other sort." He said and continued. " You'll plan staff meetings and also book other meetings "

" When do i have to plan a meeting, do i have to do it randomly?" Amy asked, escaping from behind his back to walk beside him.

" You plan meetings when there's something important to talk about. You don't do it randomly!" He said and increased his walking pace.

" And my rules, Amy..." He said, pronouncing her name very religiously, almost as if reading a nice poem.

" You must never get to work late, that's one of the major rule." He said and found her tugging his shirt from behind.

He stopped and turned around to look at her.

" I have a question...What if i arrive late after a traffic or i get to walk all the way to office because it was rainy?" She asked, bending her neck to a side, holding her small curve.

Xan sighed, rolling his eyes around his brows. This questionnaire...

She was such a wonderful talkative who could get paid for the amount of words that left her mouth.

Xan exhaled harshly.

" Since you don't have a car, Sean will pick you from home daily." He lazily said.

" Hippy!. Yeeyh!!" She rejoiced, throwing her arms and shaking it in the air.

" Remember, Anything i give you isn't free, miss. You'll pay for the ride as well"

" Huh?. Pay?"

" Mn. You heard me."

Amy's face instantly flunked like a dried yellow leaf. She realised he wasn't any nice at all. She would have to pay for everything.

He couldn't even give her a free ride. Soon..she would start paying for fresh air.

Such a stingy hand glued man she thought aloud, glaring hard at him as they continued walking.

" i hope you have jotted all i have said?" Xan asked, breaking the short silence.

" Huh?. Jottings?" She asked, her eyes fearfully popped out.

" Wait..did you not.."

She quickly plucked out her little jotter from her tight pocket.

Xan halted in his steps and fully turned around facing her again. He realised she was still searching for a pen.

She raised up her head and quickly stared at his light blue shirt.

" Oh. Lend me this for a while." She said, drawing out his pen from his front pocket.

Xan was speechless. She wasn't even scared of picking his property. He hadn't even given her freedom to use it yet.

She buried her face on her book, biting her lip hard, looking very concentrated.

She tried to jot something down but it only seemed as if the information had all swarm out.

She meekly raised her eyes, looking up at xan dark unfathomable expression.

" C..can you...um...that first rule you said, please repeat it again" she said, reasonably begging.

Xan was just so...

He didn't know what to do but feeling he should palm his cheek and scream. He had employed an empty brain has a personal assistant.

He couldn't believe something he had explained to her a while ago had flushed out so soon.

At this point, he was speechless more than a dumb man. He couldn't define this little girl.

" The jotter.." He requested, bringing forth his arm. She carefully placed it on his palm and fearfully awaited his next reaction.

He held the jotter firm and tore it in one slash, he didn't take his gaze off her while doing this.

He folded them into a ball, pulling in all his anger on to that single paper.

He took out her arm and placed the paper on her palm before covering them up.

" Chew them quick!" He ordered. That was her first punishment...

She Didn't want to upset him again. She quickly poked the paper into her mouth and held it there for a while.

Slowly, she began moving her chin joint.

" Perfect. Now let's move." He said, grabbing her arm fiercely and pulling her along with him.

The two secretary walked out from their hiding spot. One was ivy.

She was a round face lady with curly full hair. She was busty enough to be sexy.

And the other was Quincy, the fat nerd woman who was always seen wearing glasses.

.

If for any reason, this two bitches were always moving from one place to another eavesdropping.

Quincy folded her hand, pulling a scowful face.

" Boss didn't announce to us that he'd be having a new assistant" quincy scoffed.

" Of course she isn't. She can't be his assistant, she doesn't even fit our standards, didn't you see what she did?" Ivy primped.

" Yeah. She's so cool, i mean...didn't you see how she treated boss to a simple standard." Quincy said.

" Gosh, quincy!. She's has an empty brain. She is so dull. " Ivy spat.

" Oh Woah. Look at Mrs smart standing next to me. Oh please. grow up ivy" Quincy mustered, biting her lip.

" While I'm growing up, find time to loose some weight, Mrs quincy!" Ivy yelled.

" Hey. You Are so DEAD. COME Here!!" Quincy began to chase her.

AT AMY'S OFFICE

Amy kept doing her supposed job. She didn't know if she was doing it well but she knew she had been busy doing 'work'.

It was noon, Amy blankly stared at her white screen for long hours waiting for a message.

No news...no information. Nothing came up leaving her yawning tiredly.

The weather outside was so wickedly good. She decided to rest head down for a minute.

Her phone rang, jolting her up from her sleep. It was an alarm signifying lunchtime.

She stood up and scratched her butt. She had been sitting for long hours and it was itchy.

She left her office, looking around like a lost girl searching for the snacks store.

There was a coffee dispenser down the corridor. Kindly Hi novels republic on two three four eight zero five five eight eight nine one eight three to get added to the novels group. She angrily mumbled to herself wondering if people drank coffee all day in here.

She arrived at the coffee dispenser and leaned down to draw some coffee.

There were so many buttons that she got confused on which one to push.

She looked around and saw that people hadn't started to leave their offices yet.

She imagined the look on Xan's face if he heard that she had spoilt the public coffee machine. Of course, she dared not make that face happen or she was doomed.

She worriedly stood up, walking away like a starved wanderer.

She met vixen coming from the other opposite sides and her head and eyes began to swell up.

She thought of turning around and pretend to take another way but she kept ignoring that message.

Her heart raced faster with every step she took towards him. He was there, walking like the hot guy himself.

He didn't even spare her a glance even from afar.

As soon as the air between them got hot, vixen diverted from the straight walk and continued walking away.

Amy stopped, looking back at him in awe. She had expected him to at least stop her and ask her what position she was given in the office.

But that was just so rude of him. He was as rude and aggressive like his brother, xan.

He was like those proud fools who think they are the only invisible ones.

She folded her arm and angrily kicked her foot like a disappointed child.

She couldn't understand why this scene between herself and vixen had spoilt her whole day.

She opened the door to her door and jambed into her office. She hated her first day at work!.

She hated everyone she had met so far. Her work seem very boring, she didn't even have any friends to keep.

It was just her and two annoying brothers who seem highly strange and bossy.

As she thought loud in her head how awful her new work was, she found a drilling hot coffee on her table, along with a snack.

Her eyes widened a bit as she took her seat in a comfy way. She picked up the snacks and stared at it amusingly.

She was zero aware of how this got to her office. It was even her best snacks

Next to the snacks was a little paper note. Amy smiled, trying to read the content.

" Hi, Sir vixen asked me to drop this here. Next time, don't bother looking for lunch. It will be provided by him. Love, Chef."

Amy's mouth was with an 'O' Shaped figure.

She didn't know what to do but read the letter over and over again and smile over and over.

This was the most awesome thing ever!. She was over joyous.

Why does she start to think that vixen is so much better than her brother?. Of course because he is.

She rush sipped her coffee and opened her snacks. She stopped to think about it again.

Free lunch?.. when xan would want her to pay?. Pst..

She loves this vixen guy so much and in addition to his hotness.

As Amy hungrily munched on her meal, the door suddenly opened, leaving her stupefied.

It was the other hottie, Xan. She quickly hid her snacks inside her shirt, smiling at him innocently.

He stared around her office for a while, pinning his eyes at her.

" Amy. Meet me out for lunch now." He purposefully said.

To be continued.
